Hey, It’s Good to be Back Home Again

Wednesday morning at five o’clock as the day began, Ginny and I zipped unimpeded to Philly International, I boarded an Airbus to Charlotte—Souderton seems like a dream to me now—and sat on the runway for half an hour while the powers that be did what they do. We also “stood” in line to get into Charlotte because of weather, but all’s well that ends well, and I arrived in San José none the worse for wear.

Timothy’s son John and Isaïas, his Cabécar translator met me and escorted me through the real hard part of the trip: the bus ride from the airport to the bus terminal and another to Turrialba. Timothy had said that the traffic is lighter later in the day, but it must not have been late enough because the bicyclists were passing us all the way through San José. Then there was  the longer-than-I-remeber ride up here to Grano de Oro.

I finally hit the hay at 10 (11 body time) and slept like a baby.

Today’s another day, and I’m looking forward to getting to work. Timothy’s brother David is on his way from Bribri so we can work on his language data, and Ruth and Isaïas usually begin the day studying Hebrew, so ... to tell the truth, I’m not sure what I’ll be doing in two hours.

Semper Gumby!

But I’m greatly grateful to be here and for your prayers that this will be a profitable time for me, the Joneses, and the Cabécar church.

I pick Timoth’s brain.
